• Product Overview

The shaftless screw conveyor is an eco-friendly equipment designed and manufactured by our company for the continuous handling of viscous, easily entangled, and solid particle-containing materials. Its core design features spiral blades without a central shaft, specifically addressing the clogging and entanglement issues that traditional shafted screw conveyors may encounter when handling certain materials. Primarily used in municipal sewage treatment, industrial wastewater treatment, and solid waste management, this equipment is suitable for transporting materials such as screen residue, dewatered sludge, food waste, and biomass fragments.

• Structure and Working Principle

1. Core structural composition

The main structure of the equipment includes:

• The driving device is usually a shaft-mounted speed reducer or a motor and speed reducer combination.
• Axleless helical blade: A spiral blade formed by integral rolling of high-strength wear-resistant steel plate, without a central shaft passing through.
• U-shaped conveying trough: A trough body for accommodating materials and screw conveyors, with a top cover for sealing. The inner wall can be optionally equipped with wear-resistant lining plates (e.g., ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene).
• Feed inlet and discharge outlet: The positions and diameters are designed according to the process flow.
• The frame and hoisting structure are used to support and fix the main body of the conveyor.

2. Working Principle

The material enters the U-shaped chute through the feed opening. Upon activation, the drive mechanism rotates the shaftless screw. The rotating spiral blades engage with the chute walls, generating axial thrust to propel the material forward steadily along the chute until discharge. This shaftless design expands the material passage space while eliminating intermediate bearings that hinder movement in conventional configurations.
