The lift-type regulating weir gate is a key device designed and manufactured by our company for use in canals or reservoirs. By adjusting the height of the weir gate, it enables precise water level control and flow regulation. Powered by screw or hydraulic systems, this product allows vertical movement of the weir gate plate. It provides a reliable solution for water level adjustment, flow distribution, and overflow control in water supply and drainage projects, sewage treatment, and hydraulic facilities, featuring accurate operation, stable performance, and reliable sealing.
- Structure and Working Principle
- Core structural composition
The device features an integrated structure, primarily comprising the following core components:
- Door frame and guide rail: A fixed support structure embedded or installed on the channel, typically made of carbon steel with anti-corrosion treatment or stainless steel, providing precise vertical movement and sealing surfaces for the door panel.
- Panel (weir plate): The core water-retaining component, which may adopt either integral or modular structures depending on its width. The material is typically stainless steel (SUS304/316L) or carbon steel with anti-corrosion treatment, offering excellent strength and corrosion resistance.
- Opening and closing device:
- The screw type is composed of electric head, trapezoidal screw, nut and guide mechanism, which has simple structure and good self-locking.
- Hydraulic type: Composed of a hydraulic station, cylinders, and control system, it provides strong thrust and is suitable for large-scale or high-head applications.
- Sealing system: Rubber sealing strips are installed on both sides and the bottom of the door panel, which fit tightly against the door frame when closed to effectively prevent leaks.
- Control system (optional): The system can be equipped with an electric control cabinet, PLC, and water level sensors to enable remote control, automatic adjustment, and interlocked operation of the weir gate opening.
- Working Principle
The gate plate is driven by the drive device (motor or hydraulic cylinder) to move vertically up and down in the guide rail of the gate frame.
- Water level regulation: Increasing the gate height elevates the upstream water level, while decreasing the gate height lowers the upstream water level. By precisely controlling the opening degree, stable water level maintenance can be achieved.
- Flow control: According to the weir flow formula, the flow rate through the weir is directly related to the water head height at the weir top. By adjusting the weir gate height to change the water passage cross-section, precise control and distribution of downstream flow can be achieved.
- Overflow and cutoff: The weir gate can be raised to a specific height to function as a fixed overflow weir, and when fully closed, it can cut off the water flow.
- Core technical features
- The system features precise regulation and flexible control: With high-precision drive and positioning control, the gate opening can be adjusted to millimeter-level precision, enabling refined and dynamic management of water level and flow rate.
- Stable operation with safety and reliability: The screw mechanism features self-locking functionality, and the hydraulic system is equipped with safety protection, enabling the device to maintain long-term stability at the set position. The robust door frame and door panel structure are designed to withstand certain water pressure and loads.
- Excellent sealing performance: Combining multi-layer elastic rubber seals with precision machining, it effectively reduces leakage during normal operation.
- Convenient operation and maintenance: Supports on-site manual, electric, and remote automatic control with diverse operation modes. Key moving parts are designed for easy inspection, lubrication, and maintenance.
- Compact design with versatile adaptability: Customizable to channel width and installation space, available in top-mounted or side-mounted configurations to suit diverse civil engineering requirements.
