Rotating microfilter (internal water inlet)

  • Detailed Description
  • Product Overview

The rotary microfilter (also known as drum-type microfilter or rotary drum screen) is a precision filtration and solid-liquid separation system developed by our company. Its core component is a cylindrical screen drum (rotary drum) that rotates continuously around a horizontal axis, featuring a high-precision screen mesh. This mechanical screening mechanism automatically intercepts and removes fine suspended solids, fibrous materials, and particulate matter from water. Primarily designed for filtration applications requiring stringent effluent quality standards, it serves as both a pretreatment and advanced treatment unit.

  • Structure and Working Principle
  1. Core structural composition

The main structure of the device usually includes:

  • Rotating screen drum (rotary drum): A cylindrical structure with a stainless steel mesh covering the outer skeleton. The mesh size (pore diameter) can be selected according to the required filtration precision.
  • The drive device includes a motor and a speed reduction mechanism, which drives the drum to rotate at a low speed.
  • Inlet and distribution system: directs the water to be treated into the rotating screen drum through specific entry points (e.g., end or middle).
  • The flushing system, located above the outer side of the screen drum, typically consists of a row of high-pressure flushing nozzles for cleaning the screen.
  • Collection tank and sludge discharge tank: The collection tank collects filtered effluent, while the sludge discharge tank (or associated screw conveyor) collects and discharges intercepted filter sludge.
  1. Working Principle
  2. Filtration: The untreated water flows into the interior of the screen drum. Under the action of gravity, the water passes through the gaps of the screen and enters the outer collection trough, completing the filtration process. Solid particles larger than the screen aperture are retained on the inner wall of the screen drum.
  3. Clear residue: As the screen drum rotates slowly, the screen section with attached filter residue gradually moves to the upper part of the equipment. At this point, the high-pressure flushing system is activated, and the jetting water washes the retained solid matter off the screen, which then falls into the built-in residue discharge trough or the subsequent conveyor.
  4. Continuous operation: The processes of filtration, rotation, rinsing, and residue discharge are synchronized and performed continuously, achieving uninterrupted automated filtration.
  • Core technical features
  1. Continuous automatic operation: The filtration and cleaning processes run simultaneously without shutdown for backwashing, ensuring uninterrupted water supply and stable system performance.
  2. Filter precision is adjustable: By changing the mesh size of the sieve, the filtration accuracy can be adjusted within a specific range (e.g., tens of micrometers to several millimeters) to meet different water quality requirements.
  3. The water head loss is small, and the energy consumption is relatively low.
  4. Self-cleaning capability: The high-pressure flushing system is designed to effectively clean the screen, reduce clogging risks, and maintain stable filtration performance.
  5. Compact structure: The integrated design results in a relatively small footprint.
